Service Manager Job Duties : This position will be responsible for leading a team of Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technicians (Mechanics) As a Service Manager, you’ll use our maintenance software to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues to ensure all equipment is in an operating condition Coordination and supervision of quality performance of our equipment mechanics and service personnel Scheduling repairs for all of our heavy equipment, dump trucks, & fleet vehicles Monitor / schedule shop personnel duties and maintain a clean shop environment Employee training and development and maintaining a safe work environment Qualifications : A thorough understanding of diesel engines and heavy construction equipment Knowledgeable of both on road and off-road heavy machinery Must be able to pass an annual motor vehicle records (MVR) inquiry Must be able to use mechanics software to evaluate & close out work orders on assigned equipment Skilled in using Volvo Powertrain (PTT), Detroit software, and other advanced diagnostic tools Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis and corrective action planning Company Benefits : Competitive pay based on experience Job advancement and pay increases based on work history and proficiency of job duties.
