Subject Matter Expert

A company is looking for a Subject Matter Expert I to work in a hybrid remote / on-site environment in support of a government contract in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed research and analysis of historical reimbursable accounting records to identify discrepancies and develop resolution strategies

Prepare comprehensive work papers documenting errors and proposed solutions within the client's project accounting and general ledger systems

Assist in gathering and organizing documentation for audit requests and financial reviews

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

6 years of experience in federal financial management, audit support, and accounting services for public sector clients

Demonstrates strong analytical capabilities in financial data reconciliation and audit readiness

Ability to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the client's reimbursable data
