Overview
Employment opportunity with the Town of Lexington for a part-time, 20 hours per week position as a Noise Bylaw Enforcement Officer in the Police Department. This is a non-benefited role from May 1 to October 31 with an hourly pay of $36.19. The position is open until filled and requires the required Town of Lexington application form to be received in the Town's Human Resources Department.
General Summary
Under the supervision of the Administrative Lieutenant and the Captain of Operations, this position is responsible for monitoring noise levels, investigating noise complaints, and enforcing Chapter 80 Noise Control within the Town to promote a tranquil environment conducive to well-being.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
Employee must be able to walk, reach, bend, and stand for moderate periods of time as well as the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Work is performed both outdoors and in a normal office environment. Employee must be able to operate a computer, printer, photocopier, fax machine, and other office equipment. Work requires periods of sitting, reaching, typing, and mousing, which requires eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity.
