About the Role :

As a Client Operations Associate (COA), you'll support the Docket Services team by organizing, uploading, and managing key communications and files for Docket Managers and clients. You'll work behind the scenes of Intellectual Property legal operations, gaining exposure to patents, docketing systems, and structured workflows. Your responsibilities include uploading marked emails and documents in accordance with departmental guidelines. Based on performance, merit, and business needs, you will receive training and be eligible to advance into a Docket Manager position.

Position Responsibilities / Duties within the Docket Services Team :

  • Manages electronic files, including downloading and reviewing files, naming files per client specifications, and uploading files to official records.
  • Reviews, supplements, and corrects patent and non-patent reference data, including proofreading patents for clients.
  • Builds and updates Intellectual Property asset information in one or more docketing system(s); and
  • Other tasks as instructed by the Docket Services Coordinator or Management.
