Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinician / Therapist to join our team, providing high-quality mental health and substance abuse services to individuals across Virginia. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping clients navigate their recovery journey by delivering evidence-based therapeutic care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting best practices in behavioral health.
Key Responsibilities
- Intake & Assessment : Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate clients mental health status, substance use history, and treatment goals.
- Treatment Planning : Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs and aligned with clinical findings.
- Therapeutic Interventions : Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
- Progress Monitoring : Track client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to support successful outcomes.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant client records in accordance with organizational and legal standards.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with physicians, case managers, and other professionals to ensure integrated, client-centered care.
- Professional Development : Stay current on therapeutic best practices and regulatory updates through ongoing education and training.
- Regulatory Compliance : Adhere to HIPAA and all relevant state and federal regulations, as well as internal ethical and procedural guidelines.
Qualifications
Education : Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.Licensure : Must be licensed in Virginia as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist. Provisional licenses may be considered with appropriate supervision.Experience : Minimum of 2 years providing clinical services for mental health and / or substance use disorders in a therapeutic or clinical setting.Skills : Strong foundation in diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.Standards of Practice : Must meet all requirements set by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) and adhere to internal protocols and ethical standards.Benefits
