NICU Registered Nurse Job Details Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1670 - $1790 Assignment Length : 13 weeks Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 16, 2026 Healthcare Setting : Level II Special Care Nursery Nursing Shift : Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Location : Clinton, Maryland (Zip : 20735) Employment Type : Travel Nursing Weekend & Holiday Coverage : Every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed Floating : Required to float to postpartum and labor & delivery units for neonatal care Scrubs : Provided NICU RN Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent NICU nursing experience At least one prior travel nursing assignment with strong NICU experience Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state Required certifications : BLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E. Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system Previous charge nurse experience preferred Two supervisor references required Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) NICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver specialized nursing care to neonates born at or after 32 weeks requiring advanced monitoring and clinical interventions Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; administer IV antibiotics, vasopressors, insulin, and titrate cardiac medications Manage central lines, draw blood cultures, start peripheral IVs, and perform ventilator management (including CPAP, Bubble CPAP, and high-flow oxygen) Provide patient and family education and support Assist with specialized neonatal procedures such as lumbar puncture and endotracheal resuscitation Stabilize newborns less than 32 weeks and coordinate transport to Level III NICU facility as needed Maintain thermoregulation and monitor for apnea and bradycardia in pre-term infants Float to postpartum and labor & delivery units for neonatal care as required Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as part of the nursing team Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team and make a difference as a NICU Registered Nurse in Clinton, Maryland!
