Description :

Contract position available for an RN in the Neuro ICU.

This role is for 13 weeks on a night shift from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM.

No on-call requirements.

Unit has a total of 10 beds.

The average patient ratio is 1 : 2.

Unit consists of 14 staff members including nurses and clinical nurse coordinators.

The unit is equipped with advanced technology such as Edwards Hemosphere (cardiac), Cerelink (ICP), Arctic Sun (TTM), CRRT (Tablo), and Impella.

Typical procedures performed include CABG, TAVR, and Kidney Transplants.

Candidates without critical care experience will not be considered for the role.

Preferred candidates will have experience with cardiac recovery such as CABG, TAVR, and kidney transplant recovery.

Ideal candidates will be team players who are willing to share knowledge and accept constructive criticism.

Scrub colors are Galaxy Blue, Cobalt Blue, or Royal Blue.

Unit policies include mandatory attendance at department huddles prior to shifts and taking a complete, uninterrupted lunch of 30 minutes each shift.

Staff must clock in no later than the designated times.

Daily uploads of central line and Foley pictures are required.

Any corrections to clock in / out times must be documented appropriately.

Recognition and awards programs are in place to celebrate staff achievements and contributions.
