Job Description

As a Security Professional - Access Control - Unarmed in Monroe, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in access control by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, managing badge access, and remaining visible to support a secure environment. You will interact with employees, visitors, and vendors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of agility, reliability, and innovation. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your commitment to teamwork and integrity will make a real difference every day.

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Perform access control duties by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious behavior or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with enforcing site rules and regulations as outlined by Allied Universal and the client site's policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and orderly environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and / or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • This position is primarily a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
