Purpose and Scope
The Social-Emotional Learning Advisor (SEL Advisor) supports school-based implementation of SEL strategies aligned with the MSCS Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Advisors coach and collaborate with school teams to embed social-emotional learning into instruction, adult wellness, climate systems, and intervention supports—grounded in the district's belief that Greatness Grows Here.
Essential Job Functions
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or related field plus a minimum of four (4) years' experience in supporting student and / or adult social-emotional growth in a K-12 setting; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience totaling eight (8) years. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND / OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Degree Equivalency Formula
Bachelor's Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master's Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master's degrees are required, years for Bachelor's Degrees must be included.
