Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our dynamic team to assist in relationship managing and account servicing. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating personal injury cases, managing law firm relationships, and ensuring loan compliance. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply legal expertise in a financial services environment while working with top-tier personal injury and other litigation firms.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management & Underwriting

Review and analyze personal injury case documents to assess funding viability
Monitor case progression and maintain detailed case files
Evaluate legal merit and potential recovery outcomes

Law Firm Relationship Management

Maintain and manage law firm accounts and associated collateral

Serve as liaison between the and attorney partners

Ensure ongoing compliance with lending agreements and terms

Monitor account performance and reporting requirements

Legal Research & Compliance

Navigate court websites and portals for federal and state courts

File UCC financing statements and maintain perfected security interests

Conduct due diligence on law firms using third-party online services and databases

Ensure all legal documentation meets regulatory and company standards

Communication & Coordination

Maintain regular communication with attorneys regarding case status and funding requirements

Coordinate with legal, finance, and operations teams

Required Qualifications

Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal education

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in personal injury litigation

Comprehensive knowledge of personal injury litigation procedures from case inception to resolution

Proficiency with court filing systems and online legal research platforms

Experience with UCC filings and secured transactions

Strong analytical and document review skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
