Job Summary : An Accounts Receivable Specialist provides financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment of patient accounts. Daily tasks include receiving payments and recording transactions accordingly, securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, and resolving any discrepancies.
- Dental billing or dental office experience is a required qualification for this position.

Maintaining the billing system and unapplied payment reportGenerating and sending out invoices and account statementsPerforming account reconciliationsMaintaining accounts receivable files and recordsProducing monthly financial and management reportsInvestigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries / payment discrepanciesInsurance claim submissionsHandle appeals with insurance companiesFollow up on, collect and allocate paymentsCarry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlinesReview AR aging to ensure complianceFollow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.Process credit card payments, memos, adjustments and applicationsHelp prepare bank deposits if neededDevelop a recovery system and initiate collection effortsCollect data and prepare monthly metricsNew customer set up and account maintenanceMonitor credit holds in Account ReceivableEducation Required :
High school diploma or equivalent
If you have a degree, it should be in one of the following fields :
AccountingFinance or EconomicsBusiness Studies or AdministrationMathematicsExperience :
Knowledge of accounts receivableKnowledge of office administration and proceduresKnowledge of general bookkeeping proceduresKnowledge of general accounting principalsKnowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements1-3 years accounts receivable and general accounting experienceGeneral Skills :
