Overview
This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Robotics IT Manager – OpenSpan / Automation Anywhere to lead our enterprise automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in OpenSpan (Pega RPA) or Automation Anywhere, along with a proven track record in managing RPA teams, driving automation roadmaps, and delivering measurable outcomes. This role will be instrumental in scaling our digital workforce, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring robust governance across business units.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of RPA / robotics solutions across business verticals using OpenSpan or Automation Anywhere
Manage a team of developers, analysts, and support resources to ensure quality execution and operational excellence
Design and implement robust automation governance, including intake, prioritization, compliance, and change control processes
Partner with business stakeholders to identify, assess, and prioritize automation opportunities that align with strategic objectives
Oversee the development lifecycle — from requirements gathering, design, build, UAT, deployment to production support
Ensure security, compliance, and audit readiness of RPA solutions, working closely with InfoSec and Risk teams
Track and report automation KPIs, cost savings, and performance metrics to senior leadership
Maintain platform health and coordinate upgrades, patches, and vendor management
Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and scalability across the automation ecosystem
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering
OR
High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering
Preferred Qualifications
12+ years of experience in IT, with at least 8 years in RPA / robotics leadership roles
Hands-on expertise in OpenSpan (Pega RPA) or Automation Anywhere
Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale automation portfolios
Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and DevOps practices
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Familiarity with other automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism) is a plus
Experience with process discovery, OCR technologies (e.g., ABBYY), and integration with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, etc.) preferred
Strategic thinker with an execution mindset
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Executive presence and stakeholder management skills
Passion for automation, innovation, and driving digital transformation

If hired in North Carolina, the base pay for this position is generally between $110,152 and $168,900. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and / or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
