As a Security Officer - Transportation Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout transportation locations. Your visible presence will contribute to a secure environment, while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. Pay Rate : $22.83 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day

Time : Mon 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Tue 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Wed 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Thur 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Fri 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with crowd control and / or access control as needed to support the orderly flow of people and vehicles within the transportation environment.

    Minimum Requirements :

  • Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work at sites with limited on-site facilities, such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks, is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
