Our Mission

Radical Forge is a Middlesbrough, UK-based developer that has provided co-development services on a range of AAA and indie titles. In 2021, the company created its first original IP, 'Brightpaw', published on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One / Series S / X, Google, and iOS. The studio is currently working on the much-anticipated silly, physics-based, sandbox farming game, 'Southfield' .

Since 2017, the company has grown to over 60 talented, collaborative, and creative individuals. We believe that respecting and understanding our team fosters a welcoming culture that enhances creativity and pride in our work.

Your Mission

  • Own and define UI & UX deliverables, from concept to project completion, ensuring quality and usability, and championing the player experience.
  • Align UI / UX with game vision by collaborating with design, engineering, and other disciplines.
  • Work proactively with the producer and team to create realistic and achievable feature sets / backlogs.
  • Meet deadlines pragmatically without compromising quality.
  • Create and share documentation to support project teams across disciplines.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with external partners and publishers when required.

Ideal Applicant

  • Experience implementing UI / UX within Unity Engine; Unreal experience is a bonus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, and adaptability.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Experience with version control systems like Perforce.
  • Ability to estimate tasks and communicate status via Jira.
  • Strong artistic and graphic design skills.
  • Experience with wireframing and prototyping.
  • Proven ability to work alongside other disciplines.
  • Experience working through multiple development phases, including production and live service.
  • Contribute proactively to a positive team culture and an inclusive environment.
  • This role can be fully remote within the UK. We require all applicants to have the right to work in the UK. The position initially is a 12-month contract with potential extension. We welcome passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds to apply, even if they don't meet every criterion.
