Responsibilities

Provide high quality patient care in conjunction with fellow team members during transport between\nfacilities.

Responsibilities : \nPerform assessment and stabilization of patients as well as any necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.\nAssure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments by collaborating with team members and multidisciplinary members.\nParticipate in decision-making and partner with the multidisciplinary team to enhance operational efficiency.\nComplete all appropriate medical documentation.\nMay be required to drive an ambulance to transport patients and / or supplies.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration : \nRegistered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job\ntransfer date required.\nOne or more of the following required :

Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Allow in lieu of Basic Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.\nBLS Provider obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Allow in lieu of Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.\nCertification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Allow in lieu of Pediatric Advanced Life Support.\nPediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Allow in lieu of Neonatal Resuscitation certification. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Certification specializing in ER Vehicle Operation preferred.\nCertified Registered Nurse specializing in Flight preferred.\nDrivers License preferred.\nEmergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) preferred.\nParamedic preferred.\nCertified Prehospital Trauma Life Support preferred.

Education : \nDiploma from an accredited school / college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences

Must have at minimum 3 years of NICU, CCU or PICU to be eligible. Transport experience is a plus! Certifications is a plus!\nTeam is currently merging so much be interesting in being able to expand clinical skills to care for neonates to 18 years old
