Injection Mold Engineer Automotive Manufacturing (34021)
Lexington, KY – A global automotive parts manufacturer is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Engineer to support operations across company locations. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of injection molding, plastics or machine maintenance experience in automotive manufacturing, with the ability to provide training, troubleshooting and process support to improve quality across company locations.
Compensation – Base pay range : $75,000.00 / yr – $85,000.00 / yr.

Responsibilities
- Support various injection molding projects, including process development, equipment and materials selection, and training methods for technicians.
- Travel to other company locations to assist with process development, mold design, material specifications and provide training to operators and technicians (~50% travel – two weeks on location at home facility, followed by two weeks traveling regionally).
- Provide technical support for new and ongoing projects, collaborating cross-functionally with sales and equipment teams on tooling, materials and process.
- Train newer injection molding and / or maintenance technicians (depending on candidate's area of expertise).
- Implement and support various injection molding quality improvement projects, process development and training methods for technicians.
- Develop robust technical training requirements for process technicians, including multiple skill levels and associated compensation.
- Enhance production capabilities and product quality, with an eye toward continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.10+ years of experience in injection molding operations, preferably in an automotive or lean manufacturing environment.Able to travel up to 50% regionally to other company locations.KEYENCE PLC and controller knowledge is preferred.Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and prior experience in a supervisory or training / mentoring role.EEO Statement
