Injection Mold Engineer Automotive Manufacturing (34021)

Lexington, KY – A global automotive parts manufacturer is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Engineer to support operations across company locations. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of injection molding, plastics or machine maintenance experience in automotive manufacturing, with the ability to provide training, troubleshooting and process support to improve quality across company locations.

Compensation – Base pay range : $75,000.00 / yr – $85,000.00 / yr.

Responsibilities

• Support various injection molding projects, including process development, equipment and materials selection, and training methods for technicians.
• Travel to other company locations to assist with process development, mold design, material specifications and provide training to operators and technicians (~50% travel – two weeks on location at home facility, followed by two weeks traveling regionally).
• Provide technical support for new and ongoing projects, collaborating cross-functionally with sales and equipment teams on tooling, materials and process.
• Train newer injection molding and / or maintenance technicians (depending on candidate's area of expertise).
• Implement and support various injection molding quality improvement projects, process development and training methods for technicians.
• Develop robust technical training requirements for process technicians, including multiple skill levels and associated compensation.
• Enhance production capabilities and product quality, with an eye toward continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
