We're looking for mission-driven License Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support our residents with skill, integrity, and heart and to help us "Improve the Lives We Touch". PRN Position
Pay Range : $31.31 (eligible for shift differentials).
Shift Differentials :
Weekday Nights - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 7 : 00 pm - 7 : 00 am - $3.00 per hour
Weekend Days - Saturday, Sunday - 7 : 00 am - 7 : 00 pm - $3.50 per hour
Weekend Nights - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 7 : 00 pm - 7 : 00 am - $5.00 per hour
Provides daily patient care activities to the residents of the facility. Ensure adherence to established clinical policies, protocols, regulations, and standards.
Licensed Practical Nurse from an accredited learning institute. Minimum of two years work experience in direct nursing care is required. Computer application work experience is preferred.
Active Colorado LPN license and current CPR certification required.
- Promotes the mission, vision and values of SPRHC.
- Provides direct resident care except as prohibited by the Nurse Practice Act of Colorado or and Federal, State or VA regulation.
- Complete resident observations in accordance with education and training. Consult with RN regarding any abnormalities or concerns.
- Actively seeks to assure resident confidentiality, rights and privacy by upholding HIPAA regulations and other governing rules associated with the facility.
- Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
- Provide guidance and support to other assigned staff members working in the area.
- Monitor, record and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions; reports appropriately to the RN / Charge Nurse.
- Participates in care planning for individual residents and the evaluation and documentation of the results of the plan.
- Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations and treatments.
- Provide routine skin assessments with complete documentation and wound assessment as indicated.
- Reviews medication records for completeness, accuracy in the transcription of physical orders and adherence to stop order policies.
- Assumes responsibility for resident advocacy in resolving conflicts involving the physician and others involved in the resident care.
- Perform other functions as required to fulfill the expectations of the LPN.
