Shift : Mids, 3p-11 : 30p (5x8's) Every third weekend : (Sat / Sun) Weekend schedule includes one 12-hour shift and a half shift during the following week to equal 40 hours.

Job Summary :

Shift : Mids, 3p-11 : 30p (5x8's) Every third weekend : (Sat / Sun) Weekend schedule includes one 12-hour shift and a half shift during the following week to equal 40 hours.\n\n\n\nJob Summary : \n-Instructs patients in preparing for tests that require fasting.\n-Answers patient questions regarding the tests.\n-Maintains equipment and investigates problems with equipment.\n-May assist in teaching Clinical Laboratory Science students and Pathology residents and training of new employees.\n-May monitor daily operation of laboratory section or work area.\n-May participate on teams or individually perform special projects / assignments.\n -Performs a variety of routine and standardized tests using standard techniques and equipment.\n-Prepares specimens, resolves specimen problems, and performs analytical tests.\n-Labels and stores specimens.\n-Prepares reagents and assists in the preparation of standard and control materials.\n-Monitors levels of reagents and assists in maintaining supplies.\n-Records results of tests and maintains records.\n-Provides test results, reporting deviations from the norm to supervisor or ordering physician.
