Staff Attorney, University of Arizona Innocence Project
The University of Arizona Innocence Project (UAIP) seeks applicants for the position of Staff Attorney within the UAIP Clinic. The Staff Attorney's primary role will be reviewing, investigating, and litigating post-conviction innocence claims. The Staff Attorney will also supervise teams of clinic students working on UAIP cases, contribute to UAIP's educational mission, and represent UAIP in the community.
The UAIP Clinic is a year-long, for-credit clinic at the James E. Rogers College of Law in which upper-level law students work under the supervision of UAIP faculty and attorneys to represent individuals who have been wrongfully convicted in Arizona.
This position will be contracted for one year with the possibility of an additional year. This is a year-to-year appointment, with the possibility of renewal contingent on grant funding, performance, and department needs.
