2026 Summer Intern - Corporate Business Development
Roche's Corporate Business Development (CBD) department is a global, diverse group of professionals that apply scientific, financial, and negotiating expertise to establish collaborations that facilitate development and commercialization of therapies to bring important new medicines to patients. Roche's CBD group continually strives to identify and evaluate novel opportunities in our strategic areas of focus (Oncology, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, Ophthalmology and Neurology) and in emerging / disruptive scientific areas, platforms, and enabling technologies. These efforts help further our mission to pursue groundbreaking science to discover and develop medicines for people with serious and life-threatening diseases.
This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site.
The Opportunity
The Corporate Business Development Internship Program provides work within a fast-paced and challenging environment in South San Francisco. MBA, PhD, PharmD, and / or MD Business Development interns may work with multiple stakeholders and departments in the company, such as Research, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Product Development, Regulatory, and Process Development, to source and evaluate new therapeutic opportunities and to assess the technical merit, competitive outlook and strategic fit of licensing opportunities relative to Genentech's existing portfolio.
Project work includes scientific and business landscaping and partnering strategy formation in areas of high priority (e.g. regenerative medicine, cell therapy, diagnostics, neuroimmunology, cutting edge delivery technologies and other key scientific areas) and supporting ongoing deal discussions.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of California is $35.00 - $55.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
