Heartfelt Impressions Learning Center has an immediate opening for an Assistant Toddler Teacher in our Pink Piggies classroom at our Clarkston, MI campus.  If you have a passion to work with children from 1-2.5 years of age and help them become the best versions of themselves through play-based learning, please consider applying.

Position Detail

  • Status : Regular, full-time
  • Schedule : Mon / Fri 8am-5 : 30pm; Tue / Wed / Thu 7 : 45am-4 : 45pm
  • Pay range $14-$18 / hour depending on education and experience
  • Start date : Within two weeks

    • Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Prior experience as a Private Nanny or with Toddlers in the classroom setting ( highly desirable )
  • Reliable transportation
  • Consent to Background screening including fingerprinting
  • Prior experience with High Scope Curriculum a plus
  • Possess a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or working toward a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field ( preferred )

    • Teaching is the most important work

    As an Assistant Toddler Teacher, you will collaborate with and support the Lead Toddler Teacher to create a safe, nurturing and interactive environment that fosters age-appropriate learning using the High Scope curriculum.

  • Ensures overall safety of children
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans based on individual student’s needs and interests
  • Implement High Scope curriculum, philosophy, and assessment tools
  • Comply with licensing rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Attend company / school meetings
  • Ensure the classroom is engaging and developmentally age appropriate
  • Ensure cleaning tasks are completed
  • Physically able to lift 15 pounds
