Infotainment Manager
Hyundai's North America Quality Center (NAQC) is looking for a Manager for the Infotainment Team of the Investigation Team I Group
The Team :
NAQC is the quality arm for Hyundai Motor Group (HMG)'s North American vehicle models. NAQC seeks to further Hyundai's goal of becoming the leading automotive manufacturer in North America by delivering uncompromising quality and exceeding consumer expectations.
The Position :
The Infotainment Manager would oversee the development and enhancement of infotainment systems for Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia vehicles by supporting the Infotainment Team with resolving infotainment-related issues
What You Will Do :
- Lead the Infotainment Team to improve overall quality, customer perception, and stabilize new vehicle and durability indices
- Work with NA affiliates to review and resolve arising field concerns
- Set team-related goals and objectives that align with NAQC's direction. Then, drive execution, engagement, and results to accomplish them.
- Manage the team's plan, strategy, and budget allocation / usage
- Mentor engineers in best practices and promote continuous on-the-job learning and development
- Support HMG on investigations by managing affiliates' support, manpower, and investigation findings
- Lead projects related to infotainment quality with pre- and post-product launch, service repair accuracy, and vendor quality
- Monitor quality trends and coordinate various quality improvement activities to reduce warranty cost and improve the overall quality of the HMG brand
- Publish a weekly work plan and a team-related activity report to keep track and manage the Infotainment Team's KPIs
- Prepare and present executive summary to upper management (as assigned)
- Maintain alignment with Korean coordinators to ensure that information with HQ is effectively exchanged
- Monitor external databases related to safety and product feedback, investigating and reporting when needed
- Ensure administrative functions such as purchasing, timecard, vacation, and travel requests are followed on a timely basis
- Write and execute performance and competency evaluations
- Report quality issues with accurate testing and duplication conditions for the proper countermeasure development
- Plan and manage efforts to enhance the capabilities of team engineers
- Travel up to 30% of the time, both domestically and internationally
What You Will Bring to the Role :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering10+ years of experience working with infotainment systemsExtensive QA / QC / QI experienceFamiliarity with Vector CANalyzer / CANoe / CANape, Oscilloscope, and Spectrum analyzerRoot cause analysis skillsProven experience in managing technical investigationsFamiliarity with performing testing, validation, research, and benchmarking activities / tasks concerning infotainment systemsAbility to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to perform additional projects and tasks (as assigned) to support the overall mission, vision, and goals of NAQCKnowledge of problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Shainin, etc.)Proficiency in Microsoft programs, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and WordExcellenttime management, self-management, and organization skillsExceptional project management skills, with a focus on delivering timely and cost-effective solutionsStrong written, oral, interpersonal, and leadership skillsAttention to detailValid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving recordWhat Hyundai Can Offer You :
