Job Title : Legal Assistant – Transactional Practice
Location : New Orleans, LA 70163
Salary / Payrate : $50-55K with some flexibility depending on experience
This position is Overtime Eligible
Work Environment : Onsite - Parking options available nearby with pre-tax payroll deduction
Hours : 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 30 PM (40 hours / week)
Term : Permanent / Fulltime
Referral Fee : AMS will pay $500 should the person you refer gets hired
Benefits available after 30 days (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA)
401(k) eligibility after 1 year, with employer match after 2 years

Legal Assistant – Transactional Practice
An established defense litigation and business law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support multiple attorneys in its transactional practice. This role will primarily focus on real estate and corporate mergers & acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and proofread purchase agreements, contracts, and transactional documents
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate deadlines
- Handle time entry, billing, and administrative support
- Organize and maintain both paper and electronic files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff in a professional, team-oriented environment
