Shift : 2nd Shift | Monday–Thursday, 4 : 30 PM – 3 : 00 AM
Position Summary :
We are seeking a qualified and experienced TIG Welder with a strong background in welding thin-gauge sheet metal, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The ideal candidate will demonstrate practical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities :
Perform moderate to complex TIG welding of sheet metal assemblies.
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate welds and fabrication.
Review work orders and understand tolerance requirements, welding to precise specifications.
Collaborate with advanced welders to learn and perform complex, multi-part weld assemblies.
Weld various materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and thin-gauge sheet metal.
Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
4-5 years of TIG welding experience, specifically with thin gauge metals (.060-.125).
Experience in metal fabrication and interpreting welding specifications from blueprints.
Basic math skills and the ability to calculate tolerances and measurements accurately.
Understanding of weld callouts, reading prints, and understanding of blueprint symbols.
Key Skills and Abilities :
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.
Familiarity with tools such as calipers, clamps, pliers, and center punches.
Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn complex assemblies.
