Leadership role overseeing, leading and implementing projects for the Englewood Community Redevelopment Area (CRA). Serves as the County liaison for the Englewood community, the Englewood CRA Advisory Board, property and business owners, and potential developers of properties with the CRA. Works independently and the role includes policy development, project management, interagency coordination, special projects, budget and tax increment financing (TIF) management, and outreach. Oversees administrative staff and various projects implemented as adopted in the Redevelopment Plan. Position reports to the Director of the Planning and Development Services Department.
Oversees, leads and implements projects for the Englewood Redevelopment Plan.
Coordinates strategies and activities of the Englewood CRA, ensuring that goals and actions of staff and the advisory board compliment and implement policies of the County Commission.
Guides development of long term and annual action and finance plans for implementing related community development, capital projects, and redevelopment plans.
In coordination with Capital Projects and other County departments, serves as principal stakeholder and manager for planning, designing, and implementing redevelopment projects within the CRA.
In coordination with Planning and Zoning, serves as principal stakeholder for advancing planning initiatives to advance the goals of the Englewood Redevelopment Plan.
Coordinates maintenance of certain County facilities within the Englewood CRA.
Facilitates and implements various community investment and redevelopment strategies.
Leads and manages the Englewood CRA program and daily office operations.
Develops and implements the program's annual budget.
Develops strategic goals, business plans, written procedures, policies and programs.
Manages proactive assessments of fraud awareness, prevention, detection and risk mitigation activities in area of responsibility; oversees financial, compliance, operational and performance audits; reviews audit findings and ensures appropriate controls are established and implemented.
Serves as the liaison to the Englewood CRA Advisory Board.
Serves as the County contact for the Englewood community, property owners, business owners, and potential developers of properties with the CRA.
Provides outreach services to businesses, both inside and outside the CRA, to attract new business and retain existing businesses within the CRA.
Serves as the principal communication link between the County and various internal work groups and the community, economic development and committees in Englewood.
Interfaces and responds directly to the public, County staff, County Commissioners, external agencies, professional consultants, property owners, business and community groups regarding program issues, redevelopment projects, planning and capital project issues.
Promotes CRA by overseeing and facilitating special events held within the CRA.
Works closely with County Communications to promote Englewood CRA and respond to local media inquiries.

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Liberal Arts, one of the Social Sciences, Urban Planning, Public or Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, and four (4) years of professional related experience preferably in County Government.
Progressively responsible professional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required degree.
OR Associate's Degree AND six (6) years of job-related experience.
Two or more years of supervisory experience required.
Year-for-year experience may substitute for the college degree.
Pay : $63,627.20 - $87,880.00
