Database Specialist / Software Developer

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for the Database Specialist / Software Developer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) . This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities / Duties

• Take the lead on complex SQL Server and Postgres design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Support the effort to migrate and integrate data between SQL Server and Postgres environments.
• Contribute to our .NET MVC web applications (C#, Kendo / Telerik, front-end integrations).
• Work alongside a small team of developers in a collaborative environment.
• Help shape best practices for data access, schema design, and performance across our applications.
• Other duties as assigned.
