Position Overview :

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our team as a foundational member. In this role, you'll be the crucial link between our business stakeholders and development teams, responsible for translating complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements. You will work closely with subject matter experts, our Product Manager, and the development team to establish and implement best practices for requirements management and documentation. This is a unique opportunity to help reshape our business analysis function from the ground up, build new processes, and ensure our documentation meets the highest standards for internal and external use.

Location : Remote

Salary Range :

Mid-level (3-5 years) : $75,000 - $95,000

Senior-level (5+ years) : $90,000 - $120,000

Very experienced (8+ years with industry relevant experience) : $110,000 - $135,000

Key Responsibilities :

  • Requirements Management : Lead the entire requirements lifecycle-from gathering and analysis to documentation.
  • API Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and specifications for our internal and external RESTful APIs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with subject matter experts to understand business needs and translate them into detailed technical specifications for the development team.
  • Process Improvement : Establish and implement best practices for requirements management and technical documentation, guiding the team toward industry standards.
  • Documentation Alignment : Work with our technical writer to ensure that technical requirements are aligned with user-facing documentation for consistency.
  • Stakeholder Facilitation : Facilitate requirements sessions with internal stakeholders and, on occasion, with external clients for integration projects.
  • System Ownership : Manage requirements in Jira and maintain technical documentation in Confluence, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to- date.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst.
  • Proven experience in documenting RESTful APIs and creating detailed technical specifications within an enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools; experience with Jira and Confluence is required.
  • The ability to read and understand code to effectively document APIs (experience with C / C++, C#, or JavaScript is a plus).
  • Experience in establishing documentation standards and best practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and business audiences.
  • Proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to guide and influence processes.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly in the agricultural, trucking, or dealership domains.
  • Familiarity with core accounting principles and financial modules (GL, AR, AP). Knowledge of SOC2 compliance requirements.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA. Experience with GitLab or similar version control systems.
