Responsible for selling and contracting catering business. Responsible finding and selling and contracting new wedding and wedding related business. Maintains a professional working relationships with clients, Sunriver Resort staff and outside vendor / partners. Manage and communicate the flow of client related information and sales and Resort staff. Act as liaison between Resort staff and clients.

The Catering Sales Manager shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. Responsibilities
Quickly and professionally responds to all leads as assigned in marketEstablishes strong rapport with clientele; maintaining strong communication prior to resort stay and during resort stayMaintains close contact with clients to determine needs, expectations, etc.Works closely with Conference / Catering Service managers as well as accounting to ensure billing and deposits are made timely according to contract.Utilizes database to track inquiries, communication with clients and deadlinesMaintains up to date activity logs and documentation as requiredCoordinates and conducts site tours for potential clients, including weekendsExplains and executes all contractual terms and to customersReviews guests' feedback through Revinate to ensure continual guest satisfactionWelcomes incoming guests with courteous and professional attitudeResponsible for reaching budgeted monthly and quarterly goals as assignedAttends appropriate resort, division and department meetingsMaintains a strong understanding of Sunriver Resort and Central OregonCapitalizes on up-selling to maximize night stays and maximizing ratesFocuses on yield management strategiesCommunicates all pertinent information to the conventions / catering teamHandles walk-in inquiries.Resolves guest problems and is empowered to act in absence of directors / supervisorsMakes decision on VIP status and communicates appropriatelyMaintains strong communications with Conventions, Front Desk, Concierge and Bell serviceCommunicates effectively with resort staff to ensure communication of all services expectedMaintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special eventsInteracts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary informationUp sells other resort services and amenities to guestsAlways maintains a professional demeanor and attitudeActs with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipmentMaintains a professional appearance. Follows all Sunriver Resort dress code standards.Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all timesActive member and contributor to the group sales team.Assume responsibility of all assigned local accounts.Solicit and book local catering and wedding business.Maintain and execute all defined booking standards and criteria.Execute approved catering contract and all terms and conditions.Work directly with clients to secure contracts, and collect on all agreements.Suggest activities / products to clients from outside of the Resort and book accordingly if needed prior to turnover.Assist catering servicing managers with monitoring group's billing status, deposits and payments.Seek new approaches to grow business and guest satisfactionEnsure the highest guest satisfactionComply with all Sunriver policies, procedures, and safety regulationsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older.College degree preferred.Previous Catering Sales Manager experience preferredOnsite position, not eligible for remote or work from homeExtensive food and beverage knowledge.Strong computer skills (Delphi and Springer Miller preferred)Ability to work well with others and function well in high customer impact situations.Able to communicate well with staff and clients.Ability to make important booking and financial decisions independently.Able to work flexible hours and days, including weekendsValid driver's license and driving record that meets insurance standards.Knowledge of banquet products and standards.Strong sales solicitation skills.While primarily an indoor job, must be able to work at outdoor locations on occasion, walking on uneven surfaces;Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking or sitting, and occasional stair climbing;Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push & pull up to 50 lbs. with assistance;Must be able to perform simple grasping frequently, and fine manipulation, repetitive hand & arm movements, squeezing & reaching occasionally.
