Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details Location : Plattsburgh, NY 12901 (New York healthcare jobs) Facility Setting : Medical-Surgical Telemetry, Resource Pool (Float) Assignment Length : 16 weeks (option to extend up to 32 weeks) Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 22, 2026 Shift : 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $2100–$2250 per week Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Holiday Requirement : Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas / Christmas Eve, New Year's Day / Eve) Floating : Required between Med / Surg Tele units and ED Hold Orientation : 1 day, bi-weekly on Mondays Dress Code : Navy blue & white scrubs (solid colors in any combination) Registered Nurse Qualifications Active New York RN license (or proof of application with applied date) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience Current AHA BLS certification (required) NIH Stroke Scale certification (required prior to start) Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required) CMSRN certification preferred Reliable transportation (public transportation not available) Ability to float between medical-surgical and telemetry units as scheduled Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients (ages 25-99) in Med / Surg Telemetry units (Oncology, Ortho, Urology, ALC) Float as needed to ED Hold and additional Med / Surg Tele units (R5, R6, R7) Perform IV insertions, bladder scans, blood draws from central lines, and glucose monitoring Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR Collaborate with CNAs, PCTs, unit clerks, and respiratory therapists Participate in scheduled rotations, including weekends and holidays Maintain compliance with hospital policies, dress code, and safety protocols Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Plattsburgh, NY and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
