American Traveler is seeking an experienced Sonographer for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring ARDMS and BLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in an acute care setting within the Ultrasound departmentPatient cases include arterial and venous extremities, small parts, breast, carotid, OB / GYN, pediatric spine and head, abdomen, renal dopplers, pelvic, and echo studiesUse of Philips Epic ultrasound machines, Siemens and GE x-ray equipment, and Meditech EMRMixed shift schedule with varied start times, night shifts, weekend and holiday coverage, and call requiredPotential to float to X-ray coverage if qualifiedCAH (Critical Access Hospital) trauma designationTeam scheduling with day-time radiology supervisor support; night techs work independentlyMust pass fit testing for respiratory protection; inability to remove facial hair and pass testing will result in contract cancellationSupportive team environment where cross-training and mutual assistance are emphasizedNight techs are expected to operate independently with supervisor support by phoneOrientation hours will vary based on experienceStaff may be required to cover additional areas within radiology as neededOnly candidates residing at least 50 miles from the facility will be consideredCandidates may not have been employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past yearNo clinical involvement required outside the imaging scopeLimited RTO (7 days or fewer per contract); requests must be submitted upfront\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year of recent sonography experience, including vascular, OB, breast, and abdomen small partsActive ARDMS and BLS certifications requiredActive ND state license required; license required if applicable, pending licenses not acceptedExperience with Meditech EMR preferredX-ray experience preferredDriver’s license required for considerationMust provide two professional references : one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years\n Benefits\n
