Special Education Assistant for Acton, MA

lazer Jobs is interviewing experienced Special Education Assistants for a full-time position in the Acton, Massachusetts area. This role supports special education teachers and helps students with academic, behavioral, and functional goals across various grade levels.

Responsibilities :

Support teachers in implementing IEP goals and individualized supports

Provide direct assistance to students in classrooms and resource settings

Assist with behavior management, sensory supports, and communication systems

Foster student independence through guided skill-building activities

Communicate with teachers, therapists, and families about student progress

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred

Must meet Massachusetts DESE paraprofessional requirements (ParaPro test or equivalent)

Experience working with students with disabilities strongly preferred

Patience, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit

Pay : From $20-$23 / hr, based off experience
