About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer with a strong background in machining and metal manufacturing (cast iron and steel preferred) . The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge, practical experience on the shop floor, and a mindset for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot machining processes for cast iron and steel components

Create and maintain detailed process documentation , including routings, work instructions, and control plans

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and design engineering

Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in machining processes to improve cycle time, quality, and cost

Evaluate and recommend tools, fixtures, and equipment for machining operations

Lead or support capital equipment projects related to machining

Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for process issues

Mentor and support junior engineers or technicians as needed

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering

5+ years of hands-on experience in a machining / Process engineering role

Must have direct involvement in process development and troubleshooting (not just management oversight)

Proven experience working with cast iron and steel machining

Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, fixturing, and CNC processes

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Willingness to commit to a long-term career (10-15 years) with the organization

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience in mid- to high-volume production environments

Exposure to machining simulation, CNC programming, or advanced cutting techniques

Prior leadership or project management experience in a manufacturing setting
