City Auto Memphis is a family-owned dealership in Memphis, TN, celebrating over 40 years of trusted automotive sales. Position is local in-store. We are seeking a full-time Automotive Sales Consultant to join our in-office team.

THE BASICS

Pay : With a competitive base pay of $50,000 – $100,000+ / year (depending on performance), plus flat-rate bonuses per vehicle sold and an annual Christmas bonus, this role offers significant earning potential.

Schedule : This is a 40-hour-per-week position, Monday – Saturday, with one weekday off each week on a rotating schedule. Our showroom is open from 8 AM to 7 PM . Note that sales roles do not include paid holidays, but high-performing team members receive a Christmas bonus based on year-end results.

YOUR DAY AS AN AUTOMOTIVE SALES CONSULTANT

As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will greet customers with a friendly disposition each morning and immediately listen to and evaluate their vehicle needs. You will guide each customer through our 1,200+ unit inventory, present relevant options, and assist them throughout the purchasing process. You will coordinate test drives, discuss financing options, and work closely with finance and management teams to ensure customers leave satisfied. At the end of each day, you will reflect on your performance, set goals for the next day, and identify opportunities to enhance your sales approach.

REQUIREMENTS FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE SALES CONSULTANT

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Personable attitude with a positive mindset
• Hungry, disciplined, and reliable work ethic
• Ability to listen actively and evaluate customer needs
• Openness to ongoing training and improvement
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a family-owned, evolving culture

Prior automotive sales experience is a plus.
