Responsibilities : -
- Adhering to SLAs
- ITIL Processes awareness and adhering to the same ones
- Mentoring / Training Team Members
- Handling tickets / requests
- Perform root cause analysis
- Troubleshooting technical issues
- Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to
- Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration
- Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA
- Understanding of Multi-geo support environment
- Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment
- Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenario
- Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction
- Suggests new technologies and design changes
- Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members
- Planning Backup / Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support
- Suggesting patches / upgrades to maintain security level
- Testing / Auditing / processes as required from time to time
- Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating
- Assist / Plan / Procedure in Data centre consolidation efforts
- Perform H / W & performance tuning and maintenance
- Day-to-Day reporting tasks
- Vendor co-ordination & follow up
Technical Requirements
Installing, configuring and maintaining HP servers.Installation and configuration of High Availability environment using MC Service Guard. running Solaris operating system.Installation and configuration of HP Integrity Virtual Machines .Managing & Trouble shooting .Configuration and administration of HP Logical volume manager.Configuring and supporting HP Superdome Servers.Installation and Configuration of ignite backup. Create and Verify Golden images.Installation and configuration of HP -ignite environment and able to create and verify Golden image.Patch and Package administrationPrinter AdministrationWriting shell scripts to acomplish day to day system administration taskConfiguring and supporting DomainsTroubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issueCapacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performanceUnderstanding of SAN and NAS storage.Administration of NIS or LDAP environmentConfiguring Unix Security baselineTroubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issuePerformance Management & fine tuningExperience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planningWorking knowledge on any one flavor of Linux Operating System.Soft Skills
