Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time position in Dripping Springs, TX, offers an opportunity to serve as a Special Education Teacher within a Self-Contained Life Skills classroom. The role is designed for a dedicated educator who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and guiding them toward achieving their individual goals.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with special education laws and ARD procedures.
  • Managing classroom behavior effectively and applying behavior intervention plans as needed.
  • Collaborating closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers to foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Maintaining detailed records and delivering progress reports on student development.
  • Creating lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of students in a Life Skills program.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university.
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Special Education (EC-12).
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, ARD processes, and IEP implementation.
  • Experience or familiarity with Life Skills programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage behavior and implement intervention plans.
  • Excellent organizational, munication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educational support staff.
  • CPI or similar crisis intervention training is preferred but not required.
