Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Lorain, Ohio (44053) - Ohio healthcare jobs Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Setting : Level 1 OB unit with 18 LDRP beds, 4 triage beds, and 2 operating rooms Shift : 12-hour night shifts; every other weekend and holiday required Hours per Week : 36 Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 3 / 2025 - End : 2 / 2 / 2026) Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1880 - $2020 Scrubs : Provided on unit Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state (required) Minimum 1 year of RN experience in acute care or hospital setting (required) Recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother Baby, Emergency Department, or Critical Care (preferred) BLS certification (required before direct patient care; preferred upon hire) NRP certification (must obtain within 6 months; preferred upon hire) Ability to flex between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units EKG exam required Experience with EPIC, Obix, and GE fetal monitoring systems (preferred) L&D RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive, family-centered care to women and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods Perform patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes Administer medications and interventions safely in accordance with hospital and nursing standards Assist with circulating and recovering C-sections (scrubbing experience a plus) Support breastfeeding and provide patient education to new mothers and families Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including OB / GYNs, CRNAs, pediatricians, and support staff Utilize electronic fetal monitoring and perform vaginal exams as needed Promote patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives Document care accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems Care for a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team as a Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Lorain, Ohio, and make a difference in the lives of mothers and newborns!
