POSITION : Production Lead Manufacturing

FULL-TIME / PART-TIME : Full Time

LOCATION : Bothell, WA

General summary

This position will be responsible for operating in a Lead role, requiring a natural inclination to be organized, self-starting, and a problem-solving team player. In this role you will work closely with the Production Supervisor, Production Manager and engineers and must also be able to work independently with minimal supervision. This role will be responsible for providing mentorship and directing the work of other assembly technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Leads day-to-day tasks in production to efficiently meet production targets
  • Trains assembly technicians on best practices per procedure and reinforces training when errors are found
  • Directs work establishing priorities and sequences for production team on a daily basis
  • Evaluating quality and output of work
  • Coordinating manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications
  • Inspecting machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards
  • Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully
  • Attends and participates in departmental meetings
  • Attends seminars and training sessions necessary to maintain appropriate level of professional competence
  • Ensures all department compliance guidelines are met
  • Follow evidence based standards of medical care through adherence to existing policies and procedures
  • Attends all meetings, in-services training, or continuing education as delegated by the supervisor
  • Provides customer focused interactions
  • Performs all duties necessary for the department as per department policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor within the scope of practice and the responsibilities in the department

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of production experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to coach / mentor team members
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment
  • Proficient in all MS Office products
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Preferred education

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred experience

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills
  • Excellent written / oral communication skills required. Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people
  • Physical Demands

  • Requires normal visual acuity and hearing
  • Typically, employees sit comfortably to do their work, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending, carrying papers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives
  • Required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard
  • Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business
  • Working Conditions

  • Predominantly operates in a warehouse environment. Some work requires moving and lifting of heavy equipment
