Job Description
SoulCycle is seeking an Assistant Studio Manager who will contribute to the company growth by expertly and efficiently managing their studio and leading their studio team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the SoulCycle culture and brand. This person will be interpersonally savvy with strong organizational abilities, a customer focus and will be able to creatively problem solve and learn on the fly. This person embodies integrity, confidence, is a role model, is bold, and is responsible for and the success and health of the studio’s daily operations.
Responsibilities
Function as MOD (Manager on Duty) if / when any member of management team is not on the premises
Regularly communicate to management team on any issues that arise during opening / closing, whether or not they are resolved
Assist the Studio Management in daily studio tasks and projects
Share knowledge and best practices with staff
Maintain keys to the studio and exert proper care and control over them
Responsible for the opening and / or closing of the studio
Maintain opening and closing checklists and supervise studio team in ensuring all items are completed daily
Provide support to the SoulCycle instructors to ensure a successful class check-in process
Work as a cohesive team with all SoulCycle staff members to ensure efficiency and camaraderie
Provide high level customer service and hospitality to clients
Be on-duty hospitality champion
Assign tasks to part timers, when necessary
Manage retail area and visuals to ensure an optimal selling space
Responsible for additional manager system duties (i.e. returns, etc)
Assist Management team with additional responsibilities, as needed
Assist with the training and coaching of new hires for the front desk staff team
Maintain product knowledge for all studio retail operations
Maintain the distinct SoulCycle aesthetic, appearance, atmosphere and culture
Qualifications
INTERPERSONAL SAVVY : Foster the SoulCycle Community and Culture in your studio; build and foster relationships with your instructors and local community; proactively address conflicts; acknowledge your studio team’s wins and show gratitude; be open to and manage change within your studio and team
CUSTOMER FOCUS : Provide in-the-moment support to your team to ensure rider requests are addressed; be a hospitality champion that provides exceptional hospitality to riders and staff; inspire your team to uphold high hospitality standards and core values; confidently manage conflict in high-pressure situations
PROCESS MANAGEMENT : Be an expert on studio-specific and company-wide procedures; transition to new ways of working; develop and maintain schedules to ensure processes are completed; demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset and execute within company standards
ORGANIZING AND PLANNING : Set priorities to meet deadlines; develop checklists and schedules to maintain the facility; be future-oriented with project planning; manage your own schedule and complete projects under pressure; support business and retail goals
We are seeking passionate, service-oriented, positive and hard-working individuals with a love for health and fitness and an excitement for our brand. We are a high-growth company looking for hyper-organized, efficient, forward-thinking problem-solvers with exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Part-time employees must have at least 3 days of availability week over week, totaling 20 hours, with at least one of those days being a Saturday or Sunday. Additionally, all employees are expected to be available to work peak holiday shifts.
