Position Summary :

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Diagnostic Radiology team in our outpatient center in White Plains, NY . The RN will play a key role in ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after radiological procedures such as MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography, fluoroscopy, and interventional radiology exams. This is a fast-paced environment focused on high-quality care and excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities :

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures in an outpatient setting.
• Perform pre-procedure assessments, including history taking, medication reconciliation, and IV insertion when required.
• Monitor patients during procedures and provide post-procedure care and instructions.
• Administer medications, including contrast agents and sedation (as per protocols and certifications).
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, follow-up care, and any potential side effects or complications.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR.
• Follow all safety protocols related to radiation, infection control, and patient care.
• Respond to emergency situations in the radiology suite (e.g., contrast reactions, cardiac events).
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
