Salary : $20.00 / Hour - $26.00 / Hour
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :
- Provides direct supervision, support, and training to direct care staff and adult clients with disabilities residing in residential facilities.
PRIMARY SCHEDULE :
Monday Friday 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm with a 60-minute unpaid lunch. (Days and hours may vary and include evenings, Holidays, and weekends. as needed.)SUPERVISION RECEIVED :
Works under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services.SUPERVISION EXERCISED :
Is responsible for supervising Lead Staff, and Direct Care Staff assigned to Residential facilities and clients who reside in Residential facilities.QUALIFICATIONS :
Current California drivers license, with an acceptable DMV printout and insurability, minimum of a 3-year driving history.Ability to pass a DOJ criminal background check.Ability to pass CPR and First Aid courses.Two years experience providing direct care supervision of individuals in a human services delivery system (preferably working with adults with developmental disabilities) including at least one year in a comparable program.High school education or equivalent.Must obtain Administrator Certificate; maintain compliance with Community Care Licensing.Ability to create and maintain documents using Excel and Word. Overall familiarity with computer programs.Ability to be certified in all NVS intervention training including Behavior Tools PCM Practitioner Level 2.Ability to effectively develop and implement Individual Service Plans (ISP).Ability to collaborate effectively and work efficiently with others.Strong communication and leadership skills.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Follows all procedures, policies, and guidelines of North Valley Services.Provides staff training, support, and supervision.Performs new employee on-site orientations .Maintains awareness of the clients ongoing health, mental, emotional, and self-care needs.Schedules doctors appointments, monitors medications, and reviews medication logs.Report to the Program Director any decline in the clients physical state, mental health, and emotional well-being.Completes staff and on-call schedules.Supervises and coordinates clients' and employees daily schedules.Check-in and distribute new cycle medications.Receives and distributes medication.Performs weekly MARS checks and narcotic count log.Ensures quality and regulatory compliance.Review and approve grocery and shopping lists.Reviews client reports and timecards.Oversees monthly safety inspections, work orders, mileage reports, and DVIRs.Ensures compliance with the Illness Injury Prevention Program (IIPP).Participates in agency-sponsored training as required.Performs incident and accident reports in a timely manner.Conducts staff meetings.Maintain client's files, and on-site facility files.Conducts client's semi, quarterly, and annual meetings.Manages, and investigates internal department complaints; procedure to include collecting statements, plan of action, and document outcome.Implements disciplinary action under the Progressive Disciplinary Policy.Provide professional, positive communication and appearance while forming relationships with NVS Programs and outside agencies.Fulfills the role of Program Manager, in their absence.Additional duties as assigned including filling in at other sites or departments as needed.PHYSICAL DUTIES :
