Your day as a Cook

As a Cook at Butterfield Trail Village, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing a diverse array of menu items tailored to our residents' preferences. Your responsibilities will include developing approved recipes, ensuring strict adherence to culinary standards, and practicing portion control to optimize resources while maintaining quality. You will also be tasked with product rotation to guarantee freshness and enhance the presentation of all food items. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute your culinary expertise in a supportive environment, all while focusing on the well-being and satisfaction of our community members.

Requirements for this Cook job

To excel as a Cook at Butterfield Trail Village, you will need a strong blend of culinary skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in operating cooking equipment, including grills, ovens, and steamers, is essential for preparing and cooking food to order at your assigned station. Your ability to execute specialty preparations of multiple items will ensure our menu diversity remains fresh and appealing. Following food safety and sanitation standards is crucial, as is maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You must demonstrate leadership by fostering team collaboration and providing outstanding training to kitchen staff, particularly in your area of expertise.

Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned) :

• Prepare and cook food to order at assigned station based on menu.
• Ability to do specialty preparations of multiple items.
• Ability to use specialty equipment such as the grill, oven, steamer and specialty tools.
• Ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards are followed as well as proper environment for all employees regarding safety and sanitation.
• Ensure excellent quality of food and presentation.
• Responsible for portion control, adherence of recipes, and timeliness for all food products.
• Responsible for proper rotation of all food products, proper storage of all food products, proper labeling.
• Uphold proper cleanliness as well as proper maintenance of kitchen and all equipment.
• Provide leadership for team building and outstanding training for all kitchen employees especially in their area of specialty.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
