Facilities Project Manager

Cimarron is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs area in Colorado.

Key Duties :

  • Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle to ensure successful completion on time, within budget, and within scope.
  • Oversee project initiation activities, including the bid process, preparing estimates, coordinating inputs from matrix resources, and collaborating with the proposal team to deliver high-quality proposals on schedule.
  • Draft, coordinate, and submit Statements of Work for subcontractor tasks.
  • Coordinate all purchases required for project implementation.
  • Develop, coordinate, and submit all artifacts for Engineering Review Board gate reviews.
  • Lead project teams by providing the necessary resources, direction, and support to achieve project requirements and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and proactively manage challenges to keep projects on track.
  • Manage and report project budgets using earned value management techniques.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams, external organizations, and customers.
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports for upper management and customers.
  • Understand and manage change impacts, including schedule adjustments and negotiations.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to track progress and ensure accountability.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education :

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration.
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant drivers license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • 8 or more years of general, full-time work experience (or equivalent education).
  • 4 or more years of direct experience in facility project management.
  • Ability to understand and apply Earned Value Management.
  • Desired Skills, Experience, and Education :

  • PMP certification.
  • Experience reading blueprints and design plans.
  • Proficient with MS Project, Remedy, and Jira.
