Hospitalist needed in Lake Charles, LA- Lake Charles is 75m from Lafayette, LA and 150m from Houston, TX- Full-Time; Permanent- Direct employment by hospital- Daytime rotation Wed-Tues- Current Hospitalists : 10 daytime Hospitalists and 2 Nocturnists; Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians- Open ICU- Responsible for Critical Care patients and admit to ICU- Pulmonary & Critical Care Coverage available someone is always on call for consults- Census per day split evenly among Hospitalists- Patient population - adult, geriatric, no pediatrics- 7 on / 7 off 7am to 7pm- Not able to take J-1 or H1-B- Procedures optional- No vent management and do not currently run codes (but this could change)- Medical, Dental, Vision, 403(b) plan and deferred compensation plan are offered- Starting bonus- Relocation reimbursement- Student loan forgiveness- Paid professional liability insurance- CME and Dues / Memberships reimbursement- Competitive vacation & holiday time off Community Lake Charles is conveniently located off of I-10 between Houston and New Orleans.
