Job Summary :

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team and support students with diverse learning needs. In this role, you will assist special education teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide personalized support to enhance students' academic, social, and behavioral development.

Key Responsibilities :

Support for Individualized Education :

Assist in the implementation of IEPs, providing support tailored to each student's unique needs.

• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce instructional content and facilitate learning.

Classroom Assistance :

Help the special education teacher with classroom management and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Student Development :

Monitor and support students’ academic progress, behavior, and social interactions, providing feedback and reporting observations to the teacher.

Collaboration and Communication :

Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support the educational and behavioral goals of students.

Administrative Duties :

Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining student records, preparing materials for lessons, and tracking student progress.

Health and Safety :

Ensure a safe and supportive environment for students, including providing assistance with physical activities and personal care as needed.

Qualifications :

Education and Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher in education, special education, or a related field preferred.

Skills :

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
