About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

Experience : 2 years minimum with coronary, structural heart, complex PCI, and peripheral experience

License : Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Certifications : BLS

ACLS

Must-Have :

Critical patient assessment skills

Vasoactive and sedation drug administration

Sterile technique

Air management

Laser and lithotripsy atherectomy

Cardiac Cath lab and peripheral IV skills

Description :

This position is within a Level II Trauma Center and a Level III NICU.

It is a teaching hospital with 417 beds.

The department includes 2 Cath labs and 2 hybrid peripheral / OR.

Travelers must live more than 100 miles away from the facility.

Patient types include coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex total occlusions, and valvular disease.

The RN to patient ratio is 1 : 1.

Required skills include the ability to recognize and treat arrhythmias and perform critical patient assessments.

The role does not require floating to other departments.

Charting is conducted through an electronic system.

Scheduling includes a weekend rotation every four weekends.

On-call duties will include 1-2 days per week and every fourth weekend.

Holiday expectations may include working one holiday per assignment.

Approval for time off must go through management.

Scrub color for this role is procedural and provided.
