Job Title : EMG Technician

Position Summary :

The EMG Technician will perform nerve conduction studies and assist providers with the EMG portion of procedures. This role ensures accurate and efficient evaluation of diagnostic data while supporting the department with necessary clerical duties. The EMG Technician will deliver patient-centered care that addresses psychosocial and physical needs, maintains compliance with regulatory standards, and facilitates effective communication among patients, families, and care teams.

Responsibilities :

Perform nerve conduction studies and assist with EMG procedures.

Accurately record and evaluate neurophysiology data.

Support physicians with diagnostic testing and patient care.

Communicate patient conditions, results, and symptoms to providers.

Maintain compliance with hospital / clinic policies and regulatory requirements.

Perform clerical duties as needed to support departmental workflow.

Requirements :

Completion of an approved EMG program or equivalent neuroscience experience (Required)

Associate degree in Neurodiagnostics or related field (Required)

BLS certification (AHA) (Required)

Competency in EMG testing and monitoring neurophysiology wave patterns

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to read and communicate effectively in English

Flexibility to adapt to patient and departmental needs

Basic computer proficiency.
