About The Position

Job Title : ER Float RN

Profession : Registered Nurse

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12H Evenings

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, TNCC (CPI preferred)

Must-Have : Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start.

Description :

This position requires floating between various emergency room locations.

The schedule will be provided in advance to inform the traveler of their reporting location.

Travelers are required to complete a pass / fail assessment on Day 1.

All nurses must demonstrate competence in maintaining a sterile field.

Floating staff will be expected to perform common nursing skills.

Unit ratios are 4 patients to 1 nurse.

Staff will engage in educational sessions covering various nursing practices.

Every nurse must be proficient in Foley catheter insertion.

Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.

Holidays may also be required as needed.

Scrub color is Galaxy Blue.

Ventilator proficiency is necessary.

Lab draws will be performed by the nursing staff.

This position does not require floating outside of specified locations.
