Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Overview

As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and preventing dental diseases. You will work closely with dentists to provide quality dental care to patients.

Duties

• Conduct dental cleanings and assist with procedures such as fluoride treatments, laser procedures, scaling, and sealant application
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and proper care techniques
• Perform dental charting and take X-rays as needed
• Administer local anesthetics under the direction of a dentist
• Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation
• Sterilize dental instruments and equipment for each patient
• Assist in patient assessment and treatment planning

Experience

Experience working in a dental clinic setting

Proficiency with dental software such as OpenDental

Knowledge of medical imaging, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures

Familiarity with medical documentation, medical records, and HIPAA regulations

Strong patient assessment skills
