The Work You Will Do
Highway Maintenance Technician Coordinator / D6 / North Dade Maintenance.
Assists in selecting materials, supplies, equipment, inspecting, planning workloads, workflows, deadlines, work objectives and time utilization with employees. Maintains records of operation. Prepares and maintains daily paperwork such as crew activity reports and daily vehicle check lists. Performs manual labor in the maintenance of highways, bridges and other highway facilities while utilizing a variety of hand, pneumatic, and electrical tools.

Annual Salary Range
$40,903.33 - $52,933.72
A Competitive Area Differential (CAD) additive in the amount of $1,934.40 will be added to the annual salary.
Your Specific Responsibilities
Assists in selecting materials, supplies, equipment, inspecting, planning workloads, workflows, deadlines, work objectives and time utilization with employees. Maintains records of operation. Prepares and maintains daily paperwork such as crew activity reports and daily vehicle check lists.
Performs manual labor in the maintenance of highways, bridges and other highway facilities while utilizing a variety of hand, pneumatic, and electrical tools.
Operates vehicles and a variety of medium and heavy equipment. Performs preventative maintenance and pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment operated. Performs light maintenance and servicing work in connection with any type of equipment operated and assists in the repairs of this equipment; checks and adds fluids, checks / adjusts brakes, maintains proper air pressure in all tires, etc.
Performs Temporary Traffic Control (Maintenance of Traffic).
Motivates crew members to improve the quality of work performed and assists in the evaluation of others. Communicates on a regular basis with employees both individually and in crew meetings. Trains crew members in basic Temporary Traffic Control (Maintenance of Traffic).

This position requires a valid Class (B) driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with the Department's Driver's Record Requirements Policy. An unacceptable driving record is defined as any of the following :
