Space Systems Engineer

SSI is seeking a Space Systems Engineer for a position in Chantilly, VA, to support SDA’s mission.

Responsibilities include :

• Provides technical oversight and leadership for development, testing, integration, and operations efforts associated with the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture.
• Assists with the design verification and works with the vendor team to implement solutions to support the SDA’s mission.
• Oversees the ground’s technical baseline, identifying key architecture and system-level trades, developing Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for new capabilities, and coordinating them across the affected organizations.
• Resolves highly complex and multi-dimensional problems requiring consideration of variables that impact multiple aspects of the project / program.
• Develops enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface requirements.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams (i.e., Government, Military, SETA, FFRDC, UARC, & Industry) and external stakeholders
• Prepares briefings for senior decision makers.
